I think you either like or hate this art museum, located in a giant, white, old wooden building close to the Østerport railway station. I did the mistake of not buying the program of the contemporary part of the current exhibition "Bad Timing", that you can visit from August 26 to October 22, so I did not really understand the intentions of the artists. There is a nice café in the basement and another room below this, where part of the contemporary section of the exhibition is shown. Recommended for the open-minded art museum visitor.
It's a very nice building, lots of natural light and great atmosphere for walking around and exploring. It's not a huge museum so expect a short visit. The art exhibition when I visited were a bit rough, some interesting some less. But overall there's a good vibe and it seemed like the curation was very well thought out. The cafeteria downstairs is beautiful!
A small size gallery, perhaps 15-20 min. The content creator is quite amateurs level compared to others comtempary art museum at Copenhagen.
Don't bother to visit this gallery, even free for charge! it's just wasting time, in summer Denmark, just feel like staying in a green house, so freaking warm! And the exhibition sucks!
The museum is very small but that only added to the charm for me. Contemporary ( installation) art presented as it should be! Great experience. There is a very cosy restaurant/bar under the museum.
